The Nelspruit Golf Course is situated in Mbombrela (Nelspruit) in the Mpumalanga Province, South Africa.
The course is an 18-hole, 71 par parklands golf course. The course is 6074 metres in length.
Designed by the late Bob Grimsdell and upgraded in 1998 by Peter Matkovitch, this course can offer something Gauteng courses wish they could – Green winter golf. The fairways are lush all year round and the Club prides itself in that they are lined exclusively with only indigenous trees. These trees are also home to over 250 species of bird life.
The Nelspruit Golf Course offers a truly unique “bush golf” experience, where visitors are treated exactly like the members – all are welcome!
The Golf Course is also home to the annual “Jock of the Bushveld Golf Tournament”, held in May each year. This tournament is considered the amateur golf tournament of its kind in the world.
Green fees vary from between R85 and R450. Specials are available for members and non-members on Mondays and Tuesdays. Prices are subject to change so it is recommended that interested parties contact the Golf Course directly.
The Golf Club is open Monday to Sunday. Visitors welcome every day.
Nelspruit experiences its rainfall in the summer months, with December and January seeing the highest levels.
Summer months, November to March will have average temperatures of between 17˚C and 29˚C.
Winter months, May to August will have average temperatures of between 7˚C and 23˚C.
There are Domestic flights into Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport on a daily basis. Car rental companies are available for easy access around the area and it will take approximately 27 minutes (27.5&mnsp;km)from the Airport to Nespruit along the R40.
