St Michael’s on Sea is a small, tranquil and attractive seaside village on the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, between Margate and Port Shepstone, near Uvongo.

The warm Indian Ocean with its large swells and huge waves is ideal for all watersports including scuba diving, snorkelling, windsurfing, jet-skiing and boating.

The area attracts local and tourist surfers, having one of the best break-points in South Africa when the wind is right. There are also a number of popular fishing spots and some superb tidal pools with the pristine main swimming beach protected by shark nets and patrolled by lifeguards during school holidays.

St Michaels has a short but challenging 9-hole golf course with a number of water features.
