Red Rocks Lookout

The Red Rocks Lookout is one of the best lookout points in Kruger. This overlooks an incredible part of the Shingwedzi river, with massive red rock slabs covering the valley.

Here, the Shingwedzi river crosses a band of Gubyane sandstone, and water erosion has created a series of potholes pitted in the smooth, reddish stone.

A famous lowveld prospector, the American "Texas Bill" Lusk used to pan for gold regularly here between 1916 and 1920.
