The most game and the best scenery can be found in the Central Region of the Kruger Park. Bound between the Sabi river in the south and the Olifants River in the north it is essentially a grassland plain stretching west to the Lebombo Mountains which form the boundary with Mozambique.

Being abundant in Zebra, Giraffe and Wildebeest, the area is also alive with the usual predators such as Lion, Cheetah and Leopard competing for their dinner. The extreme south-west of this region provides a habitat for Rhino, Sable, Buffalo, Eland and Wild Dog packs. The best game viewing drives are between Satara and Nwanetsi and from Satara to the Olifants River.
