The Knysna Golf Course is situated in Knysna in the Western Cape, South Africa.
The course is an 18-hole, 72 par Links/Parklands golf course with some of the best Greens in the Southern Cape. The Course is 5 820 meters in length.
The course is located on the shores of the Knysna Lagoon, near the Heads, on the Garden Route. It initially had Bayview greens with very few bunkers. In 1994 and extensive upgrade took place and the course introduced 18 new bent greens. The bunkers were upgraded and new tidal pools and channels were added. Today the course meanders through these tidal pools and indigenous trees offering an environment of natural beauty. It is probably the only course that can boast below-sea-level holes and salt-water water hazards.
The Knysna Golf Course is an enjoyable and gentle stroll and you will not experience the fatigue you might on the more testing courses in the region. The course still provides players of all levels with a good challenge and is an affordable golfing experience where the atmosphere is friendly and relaxing, so enjoy!
Green fees for visitors range between R120 and R450. Prices are subject to change so it is recommended that interested parties contact the Golf Course directly.
