In 1973 an organization called SANTA launched Santarama Miniland as a fund-raising venture to provide themselves with a steady income to finance their fight against Tuberculosis in South Africa. This organisation saves countless lives each year through their promotion of Tuberculosis control and each visitor to the centre assists in their own small way.
Set on an eight acre garden on the banks of Wemmer Pan, Santarama Miniland has many of South Africa’s historical and important buildings on display, in miniature form.
Explore the replica of Jan van Riebeeck's Dromadaris, play a game of mini golf, take a mini train ride around the exhibits or go boating on a mini ferry. Children can also amuse themselves on the playground.
Various companies used to donate monthly to keep the park in peak condition but In 2004 a new management company took over and now funds are urgently required for much-needed renovations and maintenance.
Kidz Kazoo is an indoor playground with facilities for birthday parties for children up to 12 years of age.
