Aston Bay is a laid back, friendly, coastal resort located in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa and lying right next door to Jeffrey's Bay. Jeffrey's Bay, in turn is about 1 hour away from Port Elizabeth, one of the largest cities in South Africa.
Like the infamous Jeffrey's Bay, Aston Bay is also a wonderful place for windsurfing and kiteboarding.
The best months to go to Aston Bay for wind are August, September, October, November and December. You can also go from January until May, but the wind isn’t as strong. The wind in Aston Bay blows from the E and W (onshore and offshore); it can reach Force 10. The best wind direction is E.
The water conditions in Aston Bay are suitable for riders of all levels, from the novice who is just now picking up the basics, up to the expert rider who just wants to have some fun. From May until August you will need a wetsuit.
