The Agatha Crocodile Ranch is situated in Tzaneen in the Limpopo Province, South Africa.
In 1978, Blanka Darazs gave her husband two baby crocodiles as a present and today tourists have a complete Crocodile Farm in the area to visit and enjoy.
The Farm is located on a picturesque Avocado Farm and has about 200 adult Nile Crocodiles of which Rufus is the biggest at 4.2 meters long. He is approximately 35 years old and shares his legendary status with Milan, Stompie, John and Linky who are also of the oldest on the farm. Daily tours are offered and are about one and a half hours long and includes a comprehensive talk on the history, behavior, conservation and breeding of the Nile crocodile followed by the feeding show and tour of the enclosures and breeding dam. This Croc Farm also offers a unique experience where visitors can touch baby crocodiles and feed the bigger Crocs!
There are few animals more fascinating to children and adults alike than the prehistoric looking crocodiles and none more scary that the Nile crocodile, making this an exciting family activity in Tzaneen.
The Curio Shop is a little different too as it has an art gallery attached where local Artists can display and sell their work.
