Let’s Paint the Town Red!
One of the largest family festivals along the Garden Route is the Strawberry Festival, brought to you by Ola and hosted at the Redberry Farm set in the countryside of George. This annual berry affair just gets bigger and better each year and offers the perfect day out in the fresh air, all set against the beautiful Outeniqua Mountains backdrop.
The juicy red fruit is obviously the main attraction and attendees to the festival can expect loads of sweet surprises and countless activities centred round Strawberries – think Strawberry eating competitions! Guests at this fabulous fruity festival can eat, drink, pick, photograph and buy strawberries all day long!
However, if you are only mildly tickled by the berry craze, you can still enjoy a fun filled weekend of gourmet grub, wine, beer, live music, country market shopping, coffee bar and of course don’t forget about the Redberry Farm Maze, fun for all ages! For the more active and sporty visitors, why not join in the 5km family fun run/walk or the 9km trail run? The super fit can enter the Crossfit competition and win super prizes for the fittest in the Garden Route.
The Strawberry Festival always take care of its little guests and kids of all ages will be kept entertained all day with mini train rides, pony rides, paddle boats, bubble ball and plenty of sweet and sticky fun. Pack up the family and come help paint the town red!
