"A Classic that just got Better"
The course is an 18-hole, 72 Par, Parklands style golf course with Kikuyu Grass Fairways and Bent Grass Greens. The length of the Course is 6 770m.
This course recently hosted Paul Mc Ginley, Ryder Cup Captain from the SA Open Championship in 2013 and he had said this about Glendower; “it’s one of the best I’ve ever played, very visual, really well bunkered and extremely well set up. We don’t get to play on many traditional courses anymore and I was delighted. I could see this as a real potential venue for U.S. Open if it was in America”.
It was established in 1939 and has gone on from there to host many historical as well as spectacular golfing events. Management pay careful attention to detail and this can be seen easily in the presentation of the fairways, greens and club facilities. Given the chance every person who is passionate about golfing needs to play at least one round at this immaculate course.
Glendower Golf Course boasts over 60 bunkers as well as water hazards on 11 out of the 18 holes, making this both a challenging course as well as a beautiful one. It has exceptional practice facilities so you can hone your skills plus a trendy clubhouse to relax at the end of the day.
Green fees are between R280 and R600, excluding equipment hire.
