'Where the air smells like air and the water tastes like water'
Situated in the mountains above Sabie and surrounded by lush green pine plantations Hendriksdal Railway Station is on the branch line between Nelspruit and Graskop.
The station was closed for passenger use during the 1980's. The railway siding, however, is still used from time to time for loading timber from the neighbouring plantations bound for the paper mill at Ngodwana.
Hendriksdal's claim to fame would be the converted railway station building called Artist Cafe & Bed and Breakfast.
