South Africa
skoonheid jy sal nooit vergeet nie

The Somerset West Golf Course is situated in the Cape Winelands, surrounded by the magnificent Helderberg Mountains. It is the oldest Golf Club in the area, being founded in 1903 and boasting its’ own Master Champion, Trevor Immelman.

The course is an 18-hole, 71 Par Parklands style golf course with Kikuyu Grass Fairways and Bent Grass Greens. The course is 5 942 meters in length.

The course has been split into three sections due to a railway line and a road running through it. In no way does this change the feel or style of the course and although the divisions may seem to be an inconvenience to the course, they in fact only add to the challenge of your game. The course appears flat and easy, but his is not true as seven of the holes have water hazards and most greens have hillocks or bunkers.

Take your time on this course, the scenery is beautiful and the top nine holes offers the opportunity to see a few resident White Squirrels.
