Kasouga, Ndlambe Platteland, Oos-Kaap
Kasouga is exclusive, remote, tranquil and leafy with indigenous game, bushbuck and duiker, that wander around grazing in the wide open spaces and in people’s private gardens. The village is un-spoilt and un-commercialized with no shops, no tarred roads, no street lights - in other words a nature lovers paradise. The town retains its rustic charm with roads wide enough to turn an ox wagon in it and it is one of the most sought after places on the coast.
Situated between Kenton-on-Sea and Port Alfred on the R72 coastal road, Kasouga is one of the earliest seaside resorts in the Eastern Cape.
Kasouga was discovered and laid out by the 1820 settlers and currently there are only 126 plots measuring approx 1071m and 33 smaller plots on “the green” near the river; which used to be campers sites.
Access to the village is controlled through a manned boom and the present owners are passionate about their little coastal village, its fauna, flora and wildlife, and are seriously opposed to any further development.
For those who are looking for peace and tranquility in an idyllic setting, Kasouga in the Eastern Cape, South Africa, is definitely the place for you!
