Lydenburg Golf Course is situated Lydenburg in Mpumalanga, South Africa.

The course is a 9-hole 36 Par Golf Course. Front nine and back nine holes being 36 Par each. The full length of the course, both front and back nine totals 6 378 meters in length. It has Skaapplaas grass fairways and Kikuyu grass greens.

The Golf Course was first opened in 1910 and golf season in Lydenburg is all year round. The course is located at the foothills of the  Long Tom Pass, surrounded by the Steenkampsberg and Mauchsberg Mountains, creating a scenic and peaceful atmosphere. The course is relaxed with just the right amount of challenge to ensure golfers will enjoy a leisurely round of golf on this 9-hole course.

The course is host to the popular annual Strelitzia Golf Tournament.

Fees

Green fees are between R100 and R210. Prices are subject to change so it is recommended that interested parties contact the Golf Course directly. Visitors are welcome seven days a week.

Climate

Rainfall occurs mainly in the mid-summer months, with December and January seeing the highest levels. 

Summer months, November to March will have average temperatures of between 14˚C and 25˚C.

Winter months, May to August will have average temperatures of between 3˚C and 19˚C.

Transport

There are daily flights from JohannesburgDurban and Cape Town into the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport in Mombela (Nelspruit). Car rental companies are available for easy access to the surrounding areas with Lydenburg being just over an hour away along the R37. Road trips from Johannesburg to Lydenburg on the N4 and R540 will take just over 3 hours.
