Leisure Isle Festival in Leisure Isle, Knysna, Wes-Kaap
The Leisure Isle Festival is an annual event created and organised by the community on the Island and once again in November, Leisure Isle turns into Treasure Isle for two fun filled days. The Festival, provides local crafters and businesses an opportunity to showcase and sell their products while also providing a venue for approved charities to raise funds and promote community spirit.
The Leisure Isle Festival is a traditional craft market and its residents invite all to come and mingle among beautiful things and to start their Christmas shopping early! The market encourages “Buy Local” and while you are supporting the local entrepreneurs, you will also be helping out a few local charities, such as Hospice, e’Pap children’s feeding project, Vermont Old Age Home, Steenbok Nature Reserve, Knysna Animal Welfare and the Hands and Hearts Centre, who all benefit from the proceeds.
Over 100 stalls will be offering old favourites and exciting new items from toys, crafts, books and art to garden accessories, plants and fresh produce. The event also provides plenty of entertainment for young and old with jumping castles and the barrel train for children as well as a doggie walk for all our furry friends. The Fun Run is there for the very active and the Fun Walk caters for wheelchairs along a selected route.
Bring along the whole family to the Island of fun. Relax in idyllic surroundings with delicious food and plenty of entertainment!
