Riebeek Valley Olive Festival

Largest Olive Festival in the Country

The twin Swartland towns of Riebeek West and Riebeek Kasteel will be hosting the Riebeek Valley Olive Festival for its seventeenth year running. In celebration of a good harvest, the valley comes alive with olives, wine, craft beer, live entertainment and great food!

In recent years the festival has been voted the best food festival in the Western Cape and has become one of the most popular lifestyle festivals in the region. Visitors are spoilt for choice with unique and sought after wines from the Swartland terrior. Some of the participating wine farms include Allesverloren, Pulpit Rock and Riebeek Cellars.

For one weekend, the valley embraces the humble olive in all of its forms, from olive oil and pesto’s to mustards and tapenade. Participating farms will open their doors to visitors for tours, demonstrations and tastings and the opportunity to learn more about olive related products.

The valley festival, however, has grown immensely and is about so much more than just its olives and wine. There will be distinct festival feel with craft stalls, craft beer, live music, kid’s entertainment, art exhibitions and plenty of delicious food on the move.

Book your accommodation early to avoid disappointment and come through to enjoy some true Swartland hospitality!
