Découvrir l'Afrique du Sud
Sors ta tête du sable

Santos Beach was named after a German schooner that sank off its shores. It is wide and sandy, with very safe bathing conditions and comfortable sea temperatures. It is therefore ideal for families.

With its brilliant views across the bay, it is ideal for seasonal whale and dolphin watching and forms part of South Africa’s Whale Route. It is in close proximity to shops, restaurants, museums and the famous Post Office Tree.

Besides being a popular swimming beach it is also a favourite launch site for a range of water sports including boating, diving, fishing, paddle skiing and surfing. The rocky outcrops are home to fascinating sea creatures.

Santos earned Blue Flag status for its strict control of water quality, efforts at environmental education, sound management and its safety record.

Lifeguards are on duty during season (December and January) with seasonal activities on the beach to keep the whole family entertained.

Being so central, the beach is easy to find and it has plenty of parking.
