des couleurs inoubliables

The Attakwaskloof 4 x 4 Trail is situated between Mossel Bay and Oudtshoorn. The trail was completed in 1869 and used to be the main route for ox wagons travelling to Cape Town. It is one of the great historical passes and was replaced by the more convenient tarred Robinson Pass.

The Trail is now used mostly by die hard 4 x 4 enthusiasts and a few local farmers. A low range, high clearance 4 x 4 vehicle is required for this 20 km trail that follows the northern side of the Robertson Pass. It is graded between 3 and 4 and will take approximately 3 hours to complete.

The route can only be driven in one direction and begins at the Bonniedale Farm. This route forms part of the four-day Ox Wagon Trails Tour. Adding character to the trail are a few historical buildings along the way. This combined with the natural beauty and scenic viewpoints, makes the trail a fun and exciting adventure for the outdoor enthusiasts.
