Visit Die Kloof Padstal (Farm Stall) to stock up on some goodies and enjoy their restaurant which offers traditional South African cuisine.

This popular Restaurant and Farm Stall is the first building on your left as you enter Montagu through Cogmanskloof from the direction of Ashton. It has been in the Zilverentant family for the past 10 years and has become a favoured stopover with travellers and the local community alike, for several reasons.

For everyone

The restaurant is licensed and serves excellent quality and tasty food at affordable prices, while the farm stall offers some things made in Montagu. Breakfast is served all day and there are special Sunday lunches.

The view over the Keisie River and the Bloupunt mountain top is lovely and makes the perfect setting for tired travellers to stretch their legs and recharge their batteries.

Popular dishes on the menu include: 

• Savoury Pancakes; 
• Peri-Peri Chicken Livers fried in olive oil with onions, green peppers, wine & cream; 
• Lamb curry with rice and salad; 
• Dutch Apple Tart.
