Ramsgate Beach, with its large tidal pool and beautiful lagoon, is magnificient and lies at the end of a beautiful estuary.

It has a charming village atmosphere with its beachfront holiday cottages nestled amongst a park-like indigenous subtropical, coastal garden, which is so typical of this region.

The sea is warm and together with its sub-tropical climate, swimming is possible throughout the year. The beach has Blue Flag status with lifeguards on duty all year round.

This wide, sandy beach is ideal for launching boats and although no swimming is allowed in the estuary, there are lots of recreational activities on offer such as boating and pedal boats.

There are restaurants nearby and a whale-watching site opposite to the beach.

A variety of interpretative signboards provide interesting information about the ecology and local environment.
