Langebaan Golf Course in Langebaan Country Estate, Langebaan, Western Cape

The Langebaan Golf Course can be found at the breathtakingly beautiful West Coast Langebaan Country Estate, next to the renowned West Coast National Park and only a little more than an hour’s drive from Cape Town.

The course is an 18-hole, 72 Par Links type golf course with kweek and kikuyu fairways and bent grass greens. The course is 6 359 metres in length and was designed by none other than golf legend, Gary Player. Langebaan Golf Course is true to its designers’ philosophy of his typical routing for golfers with varying skills levels from pros and club players to beginners and seniors.

Challenges come right from the 1^st hole and follows through on the 6^th, the highest hole of the course, as well as the 11^th and the 18^th where good course management is required to complete this challenging hole. The 19^th hole is usually the amusing term given to the bar where golfers celebrate their perfect round or drown their sorrows when the course is unkind, but at this golf course there is literally a 19^th hole. Proceeds from golfers attempting this fun hole, situated on the centre island in front of the Clubhouse, go towards raising funds for several upliftment programs.

South easterly winds, careful bunker placement, water hazards and amazing natural rock formations over the 18 hole course provides one of the most unique games you are going to play. It is highly recommended that you make a weekend of your trip out to Langebaan and the Estate has many accommodation options and plenty of facilities to keep the whole family entertained.

Green fees are range between R150 and R450 per person, excluding extras. Prices are subject to change, please contact the Golf Club to confirm.

Find Us

To leave from Cape Town city centre, take the N1 highway North. From the N1 highway, turn left onto the R27 (Paarden Eiland turnoff). Continue along the R27 (West Coast Road) for approximately 100 km. You will pass the Melkbosstrand, Yzerfontein and Darling intersections as well as the entrance to the West Coast National Park. Continue for a further 15 minutes until you reach the West Coast 1-Stop Petrol Station. Directly after the Petrol Station, turn left towards the town of Langebaan.

Continue for about 8 km. The entrance of Langebaan Country Estate will be on your left hand side approximately 2 km before you reach the Langebaan town centre.
