Shingwedzi Rest Camp

Shingwedzi, or The Place of Ironstone, is a well-maintained, dry and remote camp on the Shingwedzi River, with excellent game viewing for the northern part of the park. It is also good for photographing wildlife. The park is absolutely beautiful in winter when the Impala Lilies are in bloom.

Many scenic drives include the S50 along the Shingwedzi river towards Kanniedood dam where elephant, kudu, Nyala and waterbuck are often seen and bird life is prolific.

Shingwedzi can offer accommodation in historical huts, morning and night game drives, conference facilities, a mini-ATM and a postbox.
