A Picturesque Setting

Langbaai Beach lies between Kammabaai Beach and Kwaaiwaters in the popular holiday town of Hermanus. Langbaai translates to Long Beach and as the name suggests it is a long and narrow stretch of sand.

Langbaai Beach is considered the “secret beach” of Hermanus, the perfect spot if you are looking for more private sunbathing experience with less bodies sharing your space. The small and secluded beach is set between two rocky outcrops and ideal for a quiet picnic or a romantic day out at the beach – sit back and watch the waves crash over the rocks and force themselves into the narrow cove! The Hermanus Cliff Path passes by Langbaai Beach and offers a great beach walk to photographic landmarks nearby like Skulpiesbaai and Kwaaiwaters (Stormy waters).

It is a favourite with locals for the excellent swimming, surfing and body boarding opportunities it offers. The beach is clean and well maintained with limited parking, but no bathroom facilities.
