Morganville Motorcycle Museum

The Kei Mouth Motorcycle Museum is on the private residence of Billy Nel and is located just outside Morgan Bay, on the road toward  Kei Mouth, along the famous Wild Coast.

Billy Nel is a self-confessed hoarder and anyone who has had the opportunity to view his personal collection of historic motorbikes, cars and many other antiques is ever grateful for his passion for preserving historic items.

The Museum houses over 600 motorcycles including a very rare Yamaha GTS100A however, the highlight of the collection is no doubt the Convair 800 passenger Jet, of which there are only two left in their original state. The one here and the other belonging to the late Elvis Presley named, The Lisa Marie which is parked at Graceland.  The Jet was once the personal transport of the stars such as Barbara Streisand, the Rolling Stones, John Denver and The Who.

The private Museum is expensive to maintain and unfortunately there isn’t sufficient tourism coming in so the Museum only opens on special occasions and by prior arrangement for schools and tour groups. Stay in touch via their Facebook page to find out when they are next open or contact the Museum directly.
