The Most Welcoming Golf Club

The course is an 18-hole, 72 Par Parklands Golf Course with Bent Grass Fairways and Greens. The course is 6 436 meters in length.

The Schoemanpark Golf Course was established in 1904 after Scottish Railway workers took it upon themselves to construct a 9-hole course that they could play on. Since then, the Course has grown into a thriving 18-hole which is regarded as the best Course in the Free State.

Hazards along the Course come in the form of Bunkers that are found around the greens only, but a few shallow water hazards make a few of the holes, if anything, particularly interesting. The Course is most noted for its trees, probably the most outstanding feature of the Course, which comes into play on most of the holes.

The Schoemanpark Golf Club is the proud to be the host of the Vodacom Free State Championship and was awarded the prestigious Golden Arrow Award for being the Most Outstanding Sports Club in the Free State and the Northern Cape.
