South Africa
places you will never forget

The R355 is a Regional Route that connects the R46 near the town of Ceres, Western Cape via the town of Calvinia with the town of Springbok, Northern Cape and is known as the most undiscovered stretch of road between two large cities in the country.

It is a gravel road with many sharp rocks and is the longest stretch of road in South Africa without a town or fuel station. It is slowly being discovered by tourists and travellers as an adventurous alternative to the tarred but busier Clanwilliam Road.
