Hippo Pools Lookout in Southern Region, Kruger National Park, Limpopo

Hippo Pools lookout is 8km from the Crocodile Bridge entrance gate, on the S27. Here you have a broad view of the Crocodile River and you can alight from your vehicle.

There is normally a guard on duty who can show you the San art on the rocks overlooking the river. Unfortunately most of this art was washed away during the floods in 2000.

There is a good chance of seeing hippos, crocodiles, elephant and buffalo in and around the river.
