The Darling Wildflower Society has been around now for more than a century and the Society’s Show takes place annually over the third weekend in September in the beautiful town of Darling. It celebrates an integral part of the Cape Fynbos Kingdom comprising of Renosterveld, Rietveld, Sandveld and Strandveld where more than 1200 different species of flowers can be found.

Theme

This year’s show will be the 100th, the Darling Wildflower Society’s spectacular Centenary Show! The display will focus on the Wildflower Society’s development through the past 100 years as well as the Herbarium Project.

With more than 100 food and craft stalls, everyone’s taste buds and shopping needs will be catered for and the live entertainment includes music from famous local artists such as Klassik, Nedine Blom and PetraMans! Kids will have a weekend of fun in the playpark area with entertainment ranging from face-painting to rides plus there are special children’s workshops from the !khwa Ttu San Culture & Educational Centre about fynbos and its links to the San culture. In addition, there will be a shuttle driving through Darling and stopping at places of interest such as the Darling Museum and Evita Perron.
