Coward's Bush Monument in Battlefields Region, KwaZulu-Natal

Coward’s Bush memorial is situated near KwaBulawayo and marks the Kei-Apple Tree, known as coward's bush, a spot where King Shaka Zulu had defeated soldiers executed and where his warriors suspected of cowardice in battle, had their courage and resolve tested.

Those who flinched, were executed!

The monument is situated on the P230 off the R66 to Melmoth, north of Eshowe.
