Constantia is a suburb of Cape Town and is located in the southern part of Cape Town about 15 kilometres from the Centre of the City traveling on the M3 highway. It is also the oldest suburb of the Cape Town and its claim to fame centres around wine and the many wine estates in the area. A submission has been made to have this area declared a world heritage site. The area is steeped in history and most of the houses are of Cape Dutch design and very large on large plots of land. Constantia is definitely not to be missed when visiting Cape Town even if you don’t like wine. It is a beautiful suburb with so much to offer the visitor.
