The Dark Carnival presents the 7th annual GeekFest that is now being presented at the Sun Arena in Pretoria. It invites every geek and nerd to come along and enjoy the many geeky activities available this time round – a few old favourites and a few new!

The geek culture has fast become a way of life for many people of all ages and whether you are a gamer, a cosplayer, into gadgets and technology or just like to watch series shows on T.V, GeekFest has something for everyone.

Browse the stalls for merchandise, cosplay as your favourite character or enter the Geeklympics and Geek Quiz to exercise your brain while putting yourself in the running to win the ultimate Geekbox prize!

This year now though, the theme is Big in Japan and it embraces everything Japanese! From anime to robotics! GeekFest SA, was still inspired by a multitude of very popular comic and pop culture events and conventions in the USA and Europe. It is proud to have organised an event that embraces all that is mystical, magical, technological and mechanical.

The Chill Zone is the perfect spot to take a rest from browsing stalls for merchandise and participating in the many activities, it offers a craft beer garden and a host of delicious food to choose from. It can also be a lovely place for the non-geeks to relax while their geek friends or family members have their fun!
