South Africa
skoonheid jy sal nooit vergeet nie

Burgers Park in Gauteng of South Africa is situated in the city of Pretoria.

Burgers Park can be found across the street from Melrose House Museum. The area was originally set aside to become a Botanical Garden in 1874. George Heys, a very successful business man and then owner of Melrose House, along with James Hunter the Government Botanist were responsible for the final layout. The park was completed in 1892, thus making it the oldest Park in city.

The park covers four acres and has been declared a National Monument. It was named after the fourth president of South Africa, President Thomas Burgers. The park is a beautiful place, ideal for picnics or just an opportunity to relax while sightseeing.
