Maruleng Rural stretches along the R531 and R40, and includes the surrounding farms, estates and lodges bordering the town of Hoedspruit. Along the R531 world class producers of avocado, mango and litchis export to several countries. The R40 is home to equally well-known lodges, where you can experience Africa at its best.

During the summer months in Hoedspruit Rural, October to March, you can experience average temperatures of between 16˚C to 34˚C with the highest rainfall months being between November and February.
The coldest months, May to August, will bring temperatures down to between 8˚C and 24˚C.
Maruleng Rural receives an average of 400mm of rainfall per year.
