Sand Baai Beach in Langebaan, Wes-Kaap

Langabaan, the scenic seaside village along the Cape West Coast has a few beaches for visitors to enjoy and Sandbaai Beach is one of those enjoyed by yachting and motorboat enthusiasts as this is the home to the Langebaan Yacht Club.

At any time the view at Sandbaai Beach is of many yachts and motorboats docked at the Club and during peak season there is hardly a spot available. Sandbaai is an amazing family beach ideal for long walks, sunbathing and building sandcastles. Bring along a picnic or alternatively, after you have had enough of the sand, head off to one of the nearby beach bars or restaurants and enjoy some scrumptious and traditionally prepared seafood dishes.

Despite the water being a lovely temperature it is not advisable to swim at Sandbaai Beach as there is a strong current present that can catch new swimmers especially, off guard. The beach is still a treat for the many other activities and a definite spot to stop by at when visiting Langebaan.
