South Africa
skoonheid jy sal nooit vergeet nie

Herold’s Bay Beach, just a few minutes outside George, is secluded at the end of a natural riverine valley, in a coastal hamlet with less than 100 homes, so it’s the perfect place to escape the city. Herold’s Bay itself has held an alluring charm to holiday makers since even the time of old. Today it is still bringing in holiday makers, just not in ox wagons anymore!

This beach is popular for not only surfing, swimming and fishing, but because of it being sheltered from the south-easterly winds, it is also great for sunbathing! There are two tidal pools which offer bundles of fun for the little ones while you relax and catch a tan. Not only this, but several ice-cream vans often park near the beach in the summer, offering ice-cream, refreshing cold drinks and other snacks too!

Being only 15 km away from George it is the perfect beach to come spend a sunny day at. It is a very wide beach, so you’ll never have to worry about finding a good spot to bathe in the sun! Herolds Bay beach has been an attraction on the Garden Route for many years and will never stop being a prime spot for holiday makers!
