Spar Tops Bierfest is South Africa’s biggest beer festival and once again it is back, bigger and better than ever. Every year the event has grown exponentially and this year won’t be any different. As always, the event is sponsored by South African Breweries and aims to bring not only the beer, but fantastic foods and amazing culture too, this is an event you should never miss.

The Cape Town event will be held at GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World this year, on Friday evening, 3 November and for two sessions on Saturday, 4 November.

As expected, visitors will find litres upon litres of Bavarian beer to sample and enjoy, but in no way will this festival only be about the beer. The Cape Town Bierfest will be celebrating the Bavarian way of life in all forms and patrons can expect to find themselves fully immersed in German culture and festivities. Traditional Bavarian clad barmaids will be serving your specially made craft beer, while an Oompah Band eases you into the spirit of all that is German. When you feel your appetite growing, tuck into the traditional Bavarian feast set out, from various pre-ordered Bavarian platters to ordering eisbein, schnitzel and knödel off an A’ la Carte Menu. For the people who don’t have the biggest of tummies, you can also snack on a giant pretzel!

Adding to the natural theme of the day, there will be several Oktoberfest inspired games that will add to the entertainment and audience participation at the event. Bavarian dress will also be on sale to make sure you look the part, so bring along a crowd and book your table – this Bierfest is going to sell out quick!
