Clarens Craft Beer Festival in Clarens, Vrystaat

The beautiful village of Clarens will once again be gathering together South Africa’s finest micro-Breweries for a celebration of fine hand-crafted Brews from all across the country. The Clarens Craft Beer Festival will be a weekend celebration of flavour, textures and the heritage of craft beer set in the exquisite foothills of the great Maloti Mountains!

2018 sees the 8th edition of this very popular beer festival and visitors will find themselves surrounded by 24 top brewers with over 120 distinguished blends of their seasonal favourites and traditional brews and ciders to taste, enough flavours for both connoisseurs and novices alike. Festival goers can also meet with each brewer and pick up some tricks of the trade as well as purchase cool merchandise.

Besides all the Lager, Stout, Ale and Pilsner you can lay your hands on, the festival also promises gourmet food trucks with plenty of food options to keep you satisfied and well fed all weekend long. Visitors are encouraged to bring along picnic blankets or deck chairs for each day promises excellent entertainment from some of SA’s top bands and performers. A dedicated “kiddies” play area with child minders will be on hand so parents can have peace of mind knowing their little ones will be safe and suitably entertained as well!

The whole weekend promises to be packed with entertainment, even for the non-beer drinkers, but please note that both the village of Clarens and the Craft Beer Festival both have limited capacity so be sure to book your tickets early to avoid disappointment!
