South Africa
skoonheid jy sal nooit vergeet nie

One of Nature's Masterpieces!

Blue Rock Resort is a paradise for all water sports enthusiasts and families looking for a fun day on the "beach". The Resort is situated just outside Somerset West and only 40 minutes from Cape Town offering locals and tourists the perfect activities park for a day of fun and adventure.

For over eight years Blue Rock Resort has been open as a sports destination and fun park and is one of the few recreational places in South Africa that has naturally clear and clean water. Lake Blue Rock is in fact the only lake in Cape Town with crystal clear water, and with a depth of 65 metres, it makes it the ideal venue for commercial free diving and scuba diving.

During summer the water temperature can reach 26˚C and families can enjoy all sorts of water sports from swimming to high energy cable waterskiing. Cable waterskiing is a much more social sport than that of skiing behind a boat as up to 10 people can ski at the same time. The Cable, an overhead puling system with an electronic motor winch, pulls skiers around the lake for hours of water fun. Skiers can bring along their own equipment or hire from the Resort and the activity is for everyone. For beginners there are skilled water instructors on duty at all times and you do not have to be of a particular age or fitness level, the only requirement is that you are able to swim. For the more experienced, Blue Rock has one of the world’s largest obstacle courses in the world to show off your stunts and moves!

Family and friends who are not so energetic on the day can sunbathe, swim and enjoy a relaxed picnic at the beach. The restaurant offers superb elegant dining as well as snack menus for the healthy conscious and the hungry. Come join in the fun and enjoy the social and friendly atmosphere at this unique adventure Resort.
