Betty's Bay Hoof Strand

Lying along the famous Whale Route is the beautiful seaside town of Betty’s Bay. Betty’s Bay Main Beach is situated on the East of the Stony Point Penguin Colony, a beautiful, non-crowded spot for sun and surf lovers.

It is a stunning and long beach, stretching for approximately 4 kilometres, with pure-white sand. The beach is best on a wind free day, but it still has better protection than Silver Sands Beach. It is very popular with surfers and swimmers and visitors are welcome to bring their furry four legged friends along, as long as they are kept on their leashes.

The Kogelberg Mountains forms the backdrop, offering spectacular scenery not only from the beach, but possibly even more so out at sea for the surfers waiting for their next wave. On the east side of the beach visitors will find the David’s Kraal picnic area, a popular spot not only for the perfect picnic spot, but also an extraordinary and popular beach fishing spot.

Remember to also visit the beach at night, you are in for an unforgettable display of stars and planets.

There are lifeguards on duty during the holiday season.
